naw, this can't be the holdup of our money...Christopher Cox is the man who gives the orders, it shouldn't matter who is in enforcement, besides, the money is coming from DTCC (Insurance) by Cox's orders...isn't it. that is why i believe Lehman had a fed call...the DTCC insurance made the call...it had to be paid..just a guess

Where'd the money come from? Why did they feel this needed an official PR instead of the usual CEO updates? Darn, this has me intrigued! Now, I'm wishing I did hold some shares because this is interesting indeed for such a long revoked pinkie stock.

If they are going to allow short sales to never be covered, effectively creating an environment for cheaters, they may as well shut down and let us take our chances with the criminals directly. We don't need TWO layers of criminals. If the government allows the crooks on Wall Street to continue their bad behavior, then they are officially sanctioning such behavior. Why not fold up the SEC tents and go home? We keep waiting for the Government to 'do something' like it's an abnormal request for action. If they allow criminal behavior in the markets, then they are criminals as well, IMO. If I could flip a switch and shut the whole thing down, clean out the bad guys and then start over, I would. I'd have lots of help! But we have to sift through all the creepy layers hoping for miracles while shareholders die with the same thoughts in their heads as well. Wow, what a world. GLTY! eom.

It would be far better to just post disclaimers stating that it is up to you to ensure every aspect of your investment is done legally and diligently. It is amoral if not criminal to lead the investing public to believe that there is an efficient Federal watch dog guarding them from criminals, when it fact it appears that the watch dog is actually empowering the criminals by a lack of logical regulation and enforcement which is very spotty at best. If this is the tip of a good iceberg for shareholders, I suppose that they might not have wanted to make it public before shareholders were identified. With any kind of large ROI, and with all the forged or phony stock certificates out there, it would be inviting a flood of opportunists trying to get in on it by counterfeiting their own certificates and then saying that they bought them that way. I don't know, just a guess.

Continues to Try and Identify Shareholders Last update: 5:42 p.m. EDT June 9, 2008 TYLER, Texas, Jun 09, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- In our efforts to continue to try to identify all of the shareholders of CMKM Diamonds, Inc. stock, current management of the Company would like to point investors that have been unable to procure physical stock certificates from their brokers to the UnShareholder.com website. www.UnShareholder.com is launching today to help identify the magnitude of individual investors unable to obtain stock ownership certificates and who perhaps inadvertently purchased illegal "naked short" or "phantom" electronic "entitlements" instead of actual shares. The scope of settlement failures in general has become a hot debate. Commonly referred to as the "naked short selling" problem, the real damage is caused by stock lending and settlement failures(a). Of course, the end result is the same: an investor makes a payment but has no actual investment. That investor is not a "shareholder" because they don't own shares. Instead, they are an UnShareholder. According to the website: If you requested a stock certificate from your broker and have not received it, you are an UnShareholder. If your brokerage account was changed to delete the shares of a company that you didn't agree is "worthless", you are an UnShareholder. If you received a 1099 with "non-qualifying dividends" when you believed you owned regular shares, you are probably an UnShareholder too. Attorney Al Hodges states, "The UnShareholder site has been developed and established by the Pasadena, California law firm of Hodges and Associates in an attempt to document the nature and depth of the UnShareholder problem as well as to identify individual investors whom have in good faith purchased publicly traded shares of stock but, for all the wrong and illegal reasons, are not entitled to receive them nor to enjoy all the indicia of ownership." (a) Stock lending is closely associated with short selling and settlement failure refers to the problem of sellers not delivering shares on the settlement date. Naked short selling is when stock is sold short and not borrowed for delivery on the settlement date. SOURCE: CMKM Diamonds Inc.
