Snow? Not yet, soon enough. The Lake effect machine is getting ready to roar soon. Normally, Buffalo does not get the big blasts depicted by the media, it is south of Buffalo in the Southern Tier area that gets slammed. Syracuse gets way more snow than Buffalo, but you never hear of that. His name is Jim Kelly, or commonly known in these parts as GOD. We will get a real team here when the owner passes away and I buy it. The owner, Ralph Wilson, is 90 years old. He believes that anyone can coach as long as you have players, which is untrue. Wilson never spent money to hire a real coach, with the exception of Chuck Knox. Wilson does not believe in hiring good General Managers either, he got lucky with Bill Polian, who he hired on the cheap from the USFL, and Polian hired Marv Levy who coached the team to four superbowls, with the talent on that team anyone on this planet could have coached that team. The last 10 years, Wilson, because of his age, has issues with trust, and has surrounded himself with trustworthy mediocre football people who have done a BAD job of drafting for a system. The new regime has a better grasp of talent but the players we have are more suited to the Tampa 2 defensive style that uses smaller, faster players. This is why we are terrible defensively. Again, I will make every attempt to hire the best football men and put our team back on the map to glory. Hope you enjoyed my little history lesson. Snowing in Buffalo yet and when are they going to get a real football team....hey bring back Jim Kelley...I was just having a little fun with that remark.... didn't really think anything would happen this weekend I know Bob is giving what he can...no more hints... hints lead to conclusions that are never right...hints raise your expectations..no more hints... November would be great if it is November 2010...You have a great weekend makers...hope to see you at the finish line.. Thanks pootsa...nice to see how deeply rooted you are with the Bills...enjoy them...Looking forward to you buying them with your CMKX windfall....I have been a long time Colt fan from back in the good days of ...Unitas..Mackey..Lenny Moore...Jimmy Orr.. so I am well aware of Bill Polian...but thank you very much it was fun reading... Maybe I will buy the Colts and we can duel on the field......The Indianapolis CMXers..hows that sound.. ;D ;D ;D You have a great weekend.....

I remember many storms we had to get out through our second story windows. Blizzard of '66 was one to remember.

Thanks georgie. Been a fan since 1963. I remember many of the players you just named. My best memory was when Joe Namath beat your Colts in the most famous Superbowl ever. Bill Polian should be our GM today, but Ralphie boy had an issue with Polian because of his daughter Linda, who at the time was given a job by dad to scout. Linda had no business being involved in any football capacity and Polian did not get along with her. Blood is thicker than water and Ralph fired him after the second Superbowl. We fans were outraged. It was the single most worst mistake (in a history filled with mistakes) that the old man ever made, and we have been paying for it ever since. The city gets a bad rap. Jim Kelly cried when he was drafted by Buffalo and opted to play in the USFL. Jim Kelly lives in the Buffalo area now, and has publicly promoted the city and the wonderful people that live here. There are no better Football fans in the nation, just ask Jim Kelly, who I personally know. Jim has put together a group of people, businessman and former players, including Thurman Thomas, who will have the first dibs at buying the team. As bad an owner that Wilson has been, he wants to keep the team in the WNY area and has made provisions to do so. Thanks for bringing up the Bills. and Buffalo, I can speak all day about it. Snow? Thanks for bringing back the memory of the 16-7 loss....I was the only kid in Brooklyn N.Y. that was a Colt fan....man I used to get ribbed all the time for that...and now I get ribbed all the time for other things...pootsa by using "Ralphie boy" it is a direct insult to Ralph Cramden...Jackie Gleason would not take kindly to that..and I could feel Ed Norton shaking at the thought... You got to give it to Jim Kelly..he did lead them to 4 superbowls...

Are we allowed to say Al is a joke yet? Bob, I believe that you are telling the truth about what you have been told and believe wholeheartedly. Al on the other hand should know better. If he is such a great attorney and really knows his stuff then he should know when he is being lied too, he has been played for a fool, many times. Wake up Al! If you really have the evidence then show it and quit playing their game. I don't care who it hurts at this point, I don't care who's hand it tips, show us the freakin evidence you say you have and quit the bs. In my book you have turned into one of them, I have lost faith in you as an attorney. Bash me all you want, I don't care. Put the evidence in my hands and I will walk into the Supreme court and hand it to them. I will wait at their car or home to make sure one of them gets it. This is total BS!!! and as far as the AG movement, I'll walk that into the Supreme court also. So all you government monkey arse lickers come and get me you f*cking girl thingys, I'd love to blow one of your brains out! I find your last sentence far more offensive than any of the "Hot Tub" innuendos.

tramp2.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=general&thread=14906&post=94244Do You want a pin? ;D His post [BH - The Stand] is very well versed and resembles a truth, but we live in a "post 9/11 era", and we learned our lesson. The fabricators made movies, wrote books, built memorials, but that "house of cards" crumbles, when a citizen realizes, that it was built upon a cartoon: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0D7xahQjVUYwww.youtube.com/watch?v=6fhWdzXKvfQwww.youtube.com/watch?v=reEk_UQfOEAWe see saliva spouting Alex Jones, apparently fighting for truth, but ask his opinion on the Penetration of the South Tower footage, and you will strike the limits of his loyalty to accuracy and honesty ... ("False Prophet") Even if it will be made to look like Al Hodges' team got us some greatly devalued dollars, it will not make their official legend true; though, it is mixed with truth ... ... but our loyalty is not to the Truth, is it? ;D

Yep, Buffalo has that reputation but poosta is right the media exaggerates a little but I have been througth many storms and the lake affect is big. You always hope the lake freezes. I remember many storms we had to get out through our second story windows. Blizzard of '66 was one to remember. I'm from Western NY and Fulton is the snow capital of the Country! Just google "Tug Hill" you will be amazed! The Tug Hill region is renowned for its excessive snowfall. One interesting architectural feature related to this phenomenon can be found locally in some hunting camps: supplemental, second-floor entry doors. These are located directly above the ground-level front door, and such apertures are used when so much snow has accumulated that the ground-level door can not be accessed. Snow depths commonly reach five feet (one and a half meters) or more, on the level, and vastly deeper amounts are routine. The location of the region in relation to Lake Ontario often creates ideal conditions for lake effect snow. The Tug Hill hamlet of Montague owns the single day New York State record of snowfall with 77 inches (6 feet, 5 inches) (almost 2 meters). Another Tug Hill village, Hooker (in Lewis County) holds the state record for annual snowfall. Hooker also received an extraordinary accumulation of snow in the winter of 1976-77, with a total accumulation of 466.9 inches – approximately 39 feet (almost 12 meters). On February 10, 2007 the National Weather Service reported that the Town of Parish had received 100 inches (more than 2.5 meters) of snow over a seven day span, while the village of Redfield received 141 inches (more than 3.5 meters) of snow over a ten day span of February 3-February 12, 2007. In 1977 a huge blizzard struck the Tug Hill Plateau and dumped 97 inches in the small village of Carthage. If you like snowmobiling take a trip to Tug Hill. You won't be disappointed. It's incredibly beautiful and snowy!

tg,
Most people think I'm making this stuff up when I tell these stories. I used to listen to the radio and pray for school to be closed. I would also ride snowmobile in the morning and race the bus back to my house, often with no hat or jacket. Those were the days.

I remember it would be dark and there was an erie silence everywhere. The snow coming down real heavy, Mom making oatmeal and homemade cocoa and the radio going in the kitchen with the school closings. As soon as we heard it was closed we were on our way out the door to shovel and make tunnels and snowmen. ;D When I tell people that I grew up in Rochester and the snow was so bad that the plows couldn't get down our street (tiny 1 way street) and the family men and older boys went out and HAND SHOVELED the street out (around late 1950s) they don't believe me either. That's when men were men and you dealt with situation like that without wining and expecting the government to come and fix it. I used to wonder how anyone could could walk in an Easter Parade with their pretty clothes on!!! Usually there was 3 feet of snow on the ground and it was very cold. Yes, they are fond memories.

See now that line can incite a multitude of evil, immature, classless, comments but I will refrain, so I will not interrupt the flow of mature, stimulating, and cerebrally challenging conversation...
