BAGHDAD (AP) — Unshaken by the latest surge in violence, Iraqis braved the threat of bombs and attacks to vote Wednesday in key elections for a new parliament amid a massive security operation as the country slides deeper into sectarian strife. Related Stories Attacks kill at least 6 in Baghdad Associated Press Shiite rally bombing sparks reprisals in Iraq Associated Press Iraq's al-Maliki facing discontent in election Associated Press Iraqis to vote for new parliament with dim hopes Associated Press Iraqis vote as violence grips a divided country Reuters Hundreds of thousands of troops and police have fanned out to guard voting centers in what is also the first nationwide balloting since the 2011 American pullout. Polls across the energy-rich nation opened at 7 a.m. local time and will close at 6 p.m. Iraq's 22 million voters are electing a 328-seat parliament. A roadside bomb killed two women as they walked to a polling station in the small Iraqi town of Dibis near Kirkuk, a turbulent city some 290 kilometers (180 miles) north of Baghdad. Another bomb in Dibis targeted an army patrol, wounding five soldiers, according to Sarhad Qadir, a senior police officer in the area. In central Baghdad, police and army manned checkpoints roughly 500 meters (yards) apart, while pickup trucks with machine-guns perched on top roamed the streets. Much of the city looked deserted without the normal traffic congestion that Baghdad is notorious for. Most stores were closed. In Baghdad's mostly Shiite Sadr City district, for years a frequent target of bombings blamed on Sunni militants, elite counterterrorism forces were deployed and helicopters hovered above the sprawling area. Buses were used to ferry voters to polling centers. Authorities also closed Iraq's airspace for the elections, and slapped a ban on vehicles to reduce the threat of car bombings. Army and police personnel voted on Monday so they could be freed Wednesday to provide security for the rest of voters. Iraqi expatriates in about 20 countries cast their ballots on Sunday and Monday. Voters are being subjected to multiple searches before they are allowed inside polling centers. Streets leading to the centers are blocked by police trucks and barbed wire. "I decided to go and vote early while it's safe. Crowds attract attacks," said Azhar Mohammed as she and her husband approached a polling station in Baghdad's mainly Shiite Karadah district. The 37-year-old woman in mourning black had just lost a brother — a soldier killed last week in the northern city of Mosul. "There has been a big failure in the way the country has been run and I think it is time to elect new people," she said. ..View gallery An Iraqi man casts his vote at a polling center in Baghdad, Iraq, Wednesday, April 30, 2014. A key e …Not far from where Mohammed was, Essam Shukr broke into tears as he remembered a son killed in a suicide bombing in Karadah last month. "I hope this election takes us to the shores of safety," said the 72-year-old Shukr. "We want a better life for our sons and grandchildren who cannot even go to playing areas or amusement parks because of the bad security situation. We want a better life for all Iraqis." A Shiite party led by Nouri al-Maliki, Iraq's prime minister of eight years, is expected to win the most seats in Wednesday's election but is unlikely to win a majority. His "State of Law" party had 89 seats in the outgoing parliament, the largest number by any single bloc. But al-Maliki will have to cobble together a coalition if he is to retain his job for a third four-year term, a tough task given the harsh criticism he has been under from his one-time Shiite, Sunni Arab and Kurdish allies. Initial and partial results from Wednesday's vote are expected to start trickling out next week but the final outcome will not be known for several more weeks. Al-Maliki, a Shiite, rose from relative obscurity to office in 2006, when Iraq's sectarian bloodletting began to spiral out of control, with Sunni militants and Shiite militias butchering each other's communities. Over the years that followed, Sunni tribes backed by the Americans rose up to fight al-Qaida-linked militants, while al-Maliki showed a readiness to rein in Shiite militiamen — and by 2008, the violence had eased. But the Sunni-Shiite violence returned, stoked in part by al-Maliki. His moves last year to crush protests by Sunnis complaining of discrimination under his Shiite-led government sparked a new wave of violence by militants, who took over the city of Fallujah in the western, Sunni-dominated province of Anbar and parts of the provincial capital Ramadi. Iraqi army and police forces battling them for months have been unable to take most areas back and voting will not take place in parts of the vast province bordering Jordan and Syria. At the same time, many Iraqis increasingly complain of government corruption and the failure to rebuild the economy. Last year, the death toll in Iraq climbed to its highest levels since the worst of the sectarian bloodshed in 2006 and 2007. The U.N. says 8,868 people were killed in 2013, and about 2,000 people were killed in the first three months of this year alone. In many ways, the conflict in Iraq reflects the fault lines of the Syrian civil war, where mostly Sunni rebels are fighting to oust the regime of President Bashar Assad, a follower of a Shiite offshoot sect. The rebels are dominated by Islamists and members of al-Qaida-linked or inspired groups, including the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, or ISIL, which is the dominant Sunni militant group in Iraq. Shiite militiamen from Iraq fight on the side of Assad's forces. The violence in Iraq has continued right up to the day before the vote. On Tuesday, back-to-back bombs ripped through an outdoor market northeast of Baghdad, the deadliest in separate attacks that officials said killed 24 people. The largest election-related attack was last Friday in Baghdad, when a series of bombings killed at least 33 people at a campaign rally for a militant Shiite group, the Iranian-backed Asaib Ahl al-Haq. ISIL claimed responsibility for that attack, as well as a suicide bombing northeast of Baghdad on Monday that killed at least 25 Kurds. ___ Associated Press writer Sinan Salaheddin contributed news.yahoo.com/iraq-holds-vote-slides-deeper-strife-040859230.html

FACT CHECK #120 Posted on April 30, 2014 • 70 Comments Found At One World of Nations The following is an initiative brought to us from those that have the steam to make it happen. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY. This is just in the exploratory phase right now and is not a guaranteed project or offer. Follow the directions carefully and let’s see if we can get some help to those who need it. Thank you. WHA Special Dinar Group Policy Test Initiative We are dealing with the daily realities of the true difficulties of an Iraqi currency release and RV. There will probably need to be tiered phases between the big guns of Reno with the need to fast track tiers one and two if a partial new RV is the route chosen. Those are pre-funded and pre-set. However, having been watching and reading the desperate needs of so many people between the OWoN and WHA sites, it becomes ever more clear that major Infrastructure Projects apart, there is a parallel reality of real need between so many people for whom participating in a partial Dinar exit may be their last chance to get clear of historical issues, and who, if empowered, can assist delivering the social project needs beyond just the big battalions. We need to think outside the box here. Society has vast needs – so do economies. Why not combine the evidenced wish of so many speculating investors now emerging, seeking a chance to participate in putting something back, by conceiving a strategy to test whether it will be possible to create a collective Dinar / Dong pool initiative to phase perhaps a block of up to c$1T, or whatever may be allowed, to enable and re empower so many lives from the two sites, to be allowed to enrich the lives of so many communities and make our world a better place? Battling alone as c$1M to $50M holders, Dinarians may find it hard to compete. If we can test out response from the sites to ascertain how many would like to come in as part of a focused group, we can assess if it’s viable and then, if so, we can seek possible support from Reno to create a special Patriotic Initiative for inclusive help to many. This is an exploratory gesture of goodwill to the two sites, not for commercial opportunism by us. We already have several vast positions as Trustees and need no one. This is only a helping hand for many. But, let us be very clear here. There is no way the Regulators or our groups are going to ask for any special dispensations for an open end grab and spend release of up to $1T. It has to be a structured approach or nothing. The IMF will not throw $1T on the street. It needs a case to sell it. Only a few percent of each holding will probably be allowed out as free cash subject to Regulatory guidelines. The rest may have to be allocated as Project Credits you can draw down as stage releases with real projects, which then help the nations and humanity. You can own the projects and be involved with development and installation delivery – at least if following normal MTN and BG trading platform rules. Responsible use. There will be no $1T cash free for all. Get Real! It’s NOT YOUR money, its Global funds with rules. This concept may gain support. Handled right, it can get millions back to work and generate many regional projects which otherwise would be missed. It will also stabilize and recover many lives. The current strategy in Reno is that for block funds traded the group deducts 10% of margins for Military charity aid. Helping the wounded plus caring thoughts for others. We would seek to apply the same. You put something back for our help. A better world. This is too big an initiative to open up globally and needs to be explored for just the two sites initially as a goodwill gesture to all. If the response is adequate we will then need to create administration support teams between the sites, as a collective effort and to bring in Audit and Professional regulatory support. There will be a primary right of discretionary screening approval to participate. Basic diligence. The only way this can succeed is for the OWoN team, working in conjunction with WHA, to reach out to Reno and beyond, if the volume of demand is there, and Lobby hard to assist you all as a gesture of goodwill to help accelerate regional aid and recovery. We seek no commercial benefit. It is only an initial exploratory move to assess demand and to help regional recovery. If interested please email either site with a brief overview of your Dinar and Dong holdings ONLY at this stage to enable us to ascertain if viable volume interest is there first for us to approach Reno for you. No, No, No, we are not getting into other esoteric holdings. Just the TWO currencies only. Be under no illusion here, Reno has no need for any of this, or even current interest, and the only chance you have is for the group to go out and Lobby hard on YOUR behalf to try to get support for you. A minimum 10% goes to Help the Heroes, NO FREE RIDES. We all put something back! This is to try to help a lot of good causes if the demand justifies it. OWoN is putting a vast amount back worldwide. The markets may move fast now after the Iraqi Election. Who wants to be included? Email in please, your approximate holdings. At this time there is NO requirement of any further information. We are NOT asking for your currency. Just register interest and your approximate holdings. This is ONLY a fast track exploratory assessment to ascertain the volume of interest if viable. If so, it may all move very quickly. ONLY the TWO sites will be considered. Then, if the demand is there we will try to sell a case to include you. You may get lucky, they may give you all cash, who knows until its tried out? ===================================================================================== Please email your dinar/dong amount to: Whitehatauxiliaries@frontier.com. NO OTHER INFORMATION IS NEEDED. Once you email your amounts here, you do NOT have to copy OWoN on it. You can email WHA OR OWoN with your holdings. NOT BOTH!! We will forward the information to them. Remember, this is just an exploratory project right now. If they proceed, the sign up procedures will be given at that time. Thank you. WHA whitehatauxiliaries.wordpress.com/

Special Dinar Group Policy Test Initiative Before approaching Reno to ask for consideration to help the groups we needed first to ascertain if a viable volume existed. Sadly it has not been the case, it is way too small. A new approach will be considered after we see a live market emerge. The initiative was a Test Sample which concludes there is no viable case to proceed. All information collected will be destroyed. Thanks to those who participated. www.oneworldofnations.com/2014/04/supplementary-dinar-group-special.html

Well here is the month of May and I wish I was wrong about the dinar but I knew I was right, and that is why I cant' stomach TNT Tony and his little munschins triple_14, Overlap, Dumptruck, hundredtoone, and so on running around carrying out his BS in the Paltalk rooms. IMO if someone can't stand up to these evil selfish individuals and put them on the spot then they are no better than the BS this country is facing with all it's BS, and that's why our society I believe is in decline. So I guess they can live in their fantasy world and hang on every word that Poof, Casper or who ever they follow and reap what they sow. The thing that stands out the most with me is that these rooms somehow believe this is what God has called them for ... WOW. If this is the case then Christianity has been dumbed down also imo. Sorry but I guess I had to get that off my back. Hope every has a good day and I hope all is well.

Brilliant strategy to start WW3. Spend 20 years building resentment and religious hatred and poverty in Iraq, then turn it all into RICH resentment and religious hatred, and watch the fireworks.
Better get in line for your Dinars?

Does anyone know who this triple is ? cmkx4ever, i'm an ordinary shareholder just like you! and so are the people in the paltalk room where i am an admin since longtime. i understand your frustration and disillusionment but please stop using me and the nice people in paltalk as a target and a scapegoat. you come cowardly in paltalk with another nickname and you put thoughts in our mind and words in our mouth we didn't say ! i did not say that Tony ,"will very likely be right " is was only quoting someone else from the Dinar chat. so please keep your comments to yourself and take a break maybe ,it will do you good . I wish you all the best though and a good outcome for all of us.We are all tired and frustrated! triple

Triple thanks for your response, I'm not here to argue but to call out BS when I see it. Secondly I think your the one who is delusional, whether someone else said it, the bottom line you constantly bombard the room with this information which in my eyes you are the one approving it to be posted for the nice people of the room. I don't buy the don't shoot me I'm just the messenger line. Lastly I do wish you all the best also and yes I'm tired and frustration from all the BS every single day without anyone being held accountable because they are just a messenger. P.S. there are many people who have different names so are they all cowards also ?

I see you have also a Dinar thread in your board here ,and that is for the same reason like us isuppose:because Al Hodges mentioned the Dinar and the GCR in his updates !! We follow in the first place Hodges and Tony and other Dinar gurus are secondary , certainly regarding CMKX! But you seem to know more than Hodges as i see you judging what is BS and what is not. We believe Hodges knows more than you do ! P.S.: people can come in the room with whatever name they choose! but no one comes hiding in the room like you do ,and goes then in his/her own room to attack falsely and personally .I thouhgt personal attacks were not allowed in your room. People can disagree in our room about Tony and others ,and a lot do as a matter of fact, but you get only bounced if you make it personal. Calling others stupid tells more (like always) about you than anything else btw.! have a good day ! triple

Your so funny, I asked if anyone knew who you were and you called me a coward and advised me to take a little break from the boards. You also like to put words down that I didn't say such as where did I mention Al Hodges ? I have witnessed you and other admins bounce many people for saying anything against the dinar in the paltalk rooms. So it appears your not a person of integrity which I assumed from the start. Have a good day also.
