I appreciate the efforts of Robert Mahue. The depth of which, we may never know. One of my favorite quotes about Iron Bob. Robert Maheu "changed the course of history a number of times and he went to his grave with more secrets than any person who has ever lived," said Peter Maheu, who added that he "didn't know he was a spy; I didn't know what he was. I was just a kid." www.kjonline.com/archive/waterville_s-robert-maheu-never-lost-touch-with-home.html

My favorite quote by Maheu..... "If you say Bob Maheu brought you into this, that I was your contact man, I'll say you're off your rocker, you're lying, you're trying to save your hide. I'll swear by everything holy that I don't know what in hell you're talking about."

One must admire a man who can candidly and unashamedly point out his own flaws while giving an account of his life.
I read the book soon after he got involved with CMKX and was struck, not only with his honest self-appraisals (for better and worse) but also, his accurate depiction of events - not given to exaggerating or giving undue focus to his strengths.
Indeed, his strengths NEEDED no exaggerating. He was quite a man, in terms of his integrity, his intelligence, his dedication to what he felt was right.
We can only hope that his son(s) are, in fact, a chip off the old block.

" This is a time for the CMKM stockholders to look forward towards the future and forget the past. Isn't that what SK is saying???

Same saying, different tangent. D4E Agreed, where as I have little doubt RM led an interesting and dangerous life, I think too many people are heavily relying on his involvement as a sure success or at the very least trying to make us believe such. I think they fail to remember he was under oath when he testified to having very little to do with cmkm. ( I forget the actual wording) IF, he was the genius people here want us to believe, why in the world wouldn't the bonafides have been paid by now? All this cloak and dagger spook stuff is nothing more than conjecture regarding cmkm, imo. Wasn't RM all about the bonafides? How would he have left the door open for AH's suit that includes non bonafides? And why would AH go against RM wishes? Too much time has passed since his involvement to believe he had any true effect on the bonafides. Before anyone starts with the, hey look at all the changes in the market and around the world crap, save it, that was going to happen with or without his involvement, but it sure keeps the room rent coming. jmho

e362, good post. I might add that for all we know Bob M. may have been brought in just to keep Urban out of the clink.

Pull back a notch or two and voila! BH isn't the only one with "high-level clearance," Clarence! You're on the right track! Keep diggin... Mike

AH said "excellent, thank you" to the C-DUB posts on IBM above in Tramp's board..
I found that a bit interesting..

I found it well-deserved. C-Dub did an excellent job compiling that tribute.

I'm not reading all that again, if there is nothing in there about CMKX or even anything at all about CMKX or anything else that's new. Why even post it..? Tell me I'm wrong and point it out.. Thanks
