ZURICH, Switzerland (AP) -- Swiss bank UBS AG, hard hit by the U.S. subprime crisis, reported a net loss Tuesday of $10.97 billion for the first quarter and announced 5,500 job cuts.
The loss compares with a net profit of $2.9 billion in the same period last year. The company also said it would unload $15 billion in subprime and other mortgage-based securities from its portfolio.
UBS (UBS) shares dropped 4.8% to $33.36 on the Zurich exchange.
The bank warned investors last month to expect net losses of $11.42 billion; for the first three months of the year after writing down about $19 billion on U.S. real estate and related credit positions in the period.

about the little investor/speculator, even if they said they cared. It was lip service, while looking the other way, knowing full well what was occurring. They took their slice of the action and simply ASSUMED it was ok and acceptable as noone would question their position of power. They took it as their right.
WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, the times they are a changing! Their hand and ATTITUDE has been forced in a direction they did not choose or even foresee.
CMKX bona fide cert pulled registered shareholders are locked and MUST participate in ANY and ALL reconcilliations with the powerful who have had to concede to some of their past greed.
Don't bite the hand that ultimately feeds you or else many of those hands will rise up in unison and be a force to be reckoned with!
Our day is coming CMKR's.

If there is one thing I can tell you, from very personal resources, is that the fbi is fully engaging the pink sheet scammers and cleaning up the markets. The market players are not getting away with anything. Special agents are being trained as we speak to blend into the market and taking down all involved. Yes the pinksheets have been the cashcow for many wall street insiders and its not low level crime. The training is extenssive and has been going on for over three years. Many are set to graduate soon and that will put a large force in the mix. Belive it or not Bush has played a large roll in revamping our financial system. As it has been told to me directly "we'll be surprized at how much Bush has done and for that he will go down in the history books as one of the greatest presidents" and that came from someone who doesn't even like Bush per say. If there is one thing I can say with conviction is that the fbi is fully engaged and focused on the pinksheet markets. I'm 100% positive on that as a fact!
Wall street is going to be in for a shocker as the forensic accountants lock in on them and there is no where to hide as the ones who have been cought already are now working for the fbi. Again I'm 100% sure of this.

BasicInstinct DIAMOND JEDI MASTER I have heard this talked about by Debi a lot and according to her DD .. yes we fall under RICO and then there was some talk about times three ($3.00 a share)
This is the one and only time I would say this is over kill and just imagine if they .. "the powers that be" have a dollar for us already but are sticking to the law and trying to extract the $3.00 per share that is actually owed to us by law and this is the hold up.......... the law is the law... There are some share holders that only have 300,000 shares so .25 or .50 would not make them as happy as $3.00 a share would.... but on the flip side... the average shareholder with 15 million shares would jump on a .50 or a buck a share. iq Administrator The SEC calls it an integer Glitch « Thread Started Yesterday at 11:17am »
On a slow day the Trading volume of CMKM Diamonds was 2 billion while Edwards was raking in Millions over and over in multiple accounts. The SEC admitted to having a Glitch in the computer system at the time as per their own documenation. Over 622 billion shares of phony unrestricted stock traded because Lawyer Brian Dvorak, issued hundreds of bogus opinion letters for the company and the SEC blames it on a computer Glitch. "Nonetheless, CMKM's transfer agent, which was owned and run by Helen Bagley, issued sheaves of unlegended stock certificates." Ms. Bagley and her transfer agent company, 1st Global Stock Transfer, are also named in the lawsuit. Mr. Edwards and others deposited the certificates with various broker-dealers, including NevWest Securities Corp., and then dumped them into the market. 'Naked short selling' has in fact taken place because the SEC the MM's were selling us illegal shares. The SEC should have realized something was off !!! The SEC never thought something was wrong even with such a high daily trading volume ? Wow that must have been some computer Glitch ? In fact, through much of the promotion CMKM registered daily volumes of more than five billion shares, exceeded 10 billion shares on many occasions and once notched a staggering volume of more than 39.6 billion shares in a single session. Yes there was a day when the volume went past 40 billion shares I'm betting few people realize it went that high! As previously reported by Stockwatch, the phenomenal CMKM trading triggered a 32-bit signed integer glitch that evidently went undetected by all quote services except Stockwatch. Don't you love the wording being used a COMPUTER integer Glitch!!! LOL In simple terms, because of the undetected glitch, quote services such as Bloomberg, which the SEC relied upon for trading data in its earlier administrative proceeding against CMKM, could not accurately report volumes that exceeded 2,147,483,647 shares. WOW poor SEC !!! Stockwatch finally discovered the 32-bit integer issue, created a fix and accurately reported the daily trading volumes. While CMKM never did open an office in Antwerp, it also attract a number of Belgian investors. So we have massive Worldwide Fraud that the SEC never Caught !!! When casavant found out what was happening he brought in some experts to help him save the company like Roger glenn and Maheu. Roger Glenn was a sec investigator and Mr. Maheu has done countless work for the FBI and the CIA. His company Global intelligence played a role in bringing down stock schemes before. Perhaps this was used to expose the systemic problem of clearing unregistered shares through the DTC and major brokage houses. How could 622 billion unregistered shares not be caught and have multiple dividends paid and CERTS issued ?This was the biggest cert pull in history! Assets of the company were passed to Entourage in exchange for 60% of that company, yet for some reason none of these shares can be distributed ?
The SEC called it an integer Glitch when they failed to see Millions of dollars of stock of CMKX being traded by MM's
Maybe the MM's had a brain fart when they took these shares, the huge commision they made too ?
There is more to this story and CMKX needs to be heard or paid !
dunlay Prospector Re: The SEC calls it an integer Glitch « Reply #1 Today at 7:24am »
"Glitch"?! How stupid do these people think we are? Look, things happen. A fat finger on the keyboard, a "glitch" could happen, BUT when you are talking about something this big, the error is quickly discovered and corrected.
Billions of shares is not a "glitch", its a crime....
