Man I am sure happy I didn't vote for Obama this country is in turmoil..and he is spending $200 million a day and staying for 10 days..WTF...Stay at a Holiday Inn...No monies for social security but you spend $200 million a day so all your buddies can stay at the Taj Mahal...I guess they won't be eating at WENDYS...
"The huge amount of around $200 million would be spent on security, stay and other aspects of the Presidential visit," the news agency quoted the official as saying.
The agency also claimed the presidential entourage would include 3,000 Secret Service agents, U.S. government officials and journalists.
U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann said on CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" this week that the trip "is expected to cost the taxpayers $200 million a day." She said: "He's taking 2,000 people with him. He'll be renting out over 870 rooms in India. And these are 5-star hotel rooms at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel. This is the kind of over-the-top spending."
The Taj Mahal has only 560 rooms including 44 suites, according to its website.

The best thing about this story and its aftermath is how clearly it demonstrates the pathology and single-minded intent to distort the truth by the likes of Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Michele Bachmann, and Fox News ... and just how many Americans buy this crap.

Kinda makes me all warm and fuzzy seeing our tax dollars being so well spent. What a blatant waste of tax dollars and manpower. He's going for the Guiness book of records for the amount of money squandered by a president on one trip. There is no doubt in my mind that he will have the record for a long time. Don't think for a minute that this will be the last one either. He's spending the money from the expiring tax cuts before there even collected. How many families could of benefitted greatly with the one to two billion dollars thats being wasted on this trip? ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND FAMILIES COULD HAVE RECIEVED TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR ONE BILLION DOLLARS BEING SPENT. This guy should be impeached. YES HE CAN Bill

The bottom line is no matter what the trip will cost, now is not the time for extreme spending..be it $200 million a day or $20 million a day...it is still 100's of millions of dollars of unnessccary spending when people cannot make ends meet.
The umemployed, the uninsured, the elderly that cannot buy food and the list goes on, have seen nothing but unbridled spending from this administration while they stare bankruptcy right in it's eyes.
How about scaling down the amount of people going on this vacation to 100 and taking the balance of the monies and direct it to the needy in this country.
How much more should we budget so we can support large failing businesses who failed due to their greed and having a blatant disregard for the economic ramifications their spending will have on the people in this great country.

Don't worry Georgie.. They'll just QE2 some more.. everything will be fine... take another government provided Prozac... (d*mn, drones are beginning to figure it out, we have to ramp up the prozac amounts and government handouts to keep them quieted down until we finish).. We are here for you.. We are only looking out for you...
You know they won't look out for American people, they are looking out for themselves and using the 60's rejects to pump their message.
All the left propaganda states that an Indian official gave that number out of $200 million per day, and so the lefty drones fall asleep again..
To take from their playbook.... PROVE IT IS NOT COSTING $200 Million per day. Show me the books and let us see... NO? oh.. then you don't have an argument.

Axelrod: Chamber must prove foreign money allegations false By Walter Alarkon - 10/10/10 11:36 AM ET
White House senior adviser David Axelrod said the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has the burden of proving false the charge by Democrats that the business group is funneling foreign money to Republican campaigns.
Axelrod was pressed by CBS’s Bob Schieffer on Sunday for evidence that the foreign campaign contributions benefiting the GOP is more than “peanuts.”
“Do you have any evidence that it’s not, Bob?” Axelrod said on “Face the Nation.” “The fact is that the Chamber has asserted that, but they won’t release any information about where their campaign money is coming from. And that’s at the core of the problem.”
A new ad by the Democratic National Committee accuses the Chamber of “benefiting from secret foreign money” and said that the business group and Republican operatives are “stealing our democracy.” RELATED ARTICLES
* Dem ad accuses GOP-allied groups of 'stealing democracy'
President Obama and Democrats have attacked the Chamber and outside conservative groups for exploiting campaign finance rules that were relaxed by the Supreme Court this year to spend big on Republicans in the midterm elections without disclosing where the money is coming from.
Democrats have said that foreign-based individuals or corporations could funnel money through those groups to influence the election. The Chamber has denied being involved in such practices.
Axelrod on Sunday said Democrats are attacking the spending out of a “fundamental concern” that the “Republican Party and interest groups ... want to turn the clock back to the very same policies that got us into this mess in the first place.”
Ed Gillespie, the former Republican National Committee chairman and one of the GOP operatives named in the DNC ad, noted that Obama benefited from millions in undisclosed contributions in 2008 and that Republicans are now using the same rules.
“Don’t accuse those who are playing by the rules of somehow doing something that is unethical or illegal,” Gillespie said on “Face the Nation.”
Gillespie added that it was “an unbelievable mentality” for Axelrod to assert charges about foreign contributions without backing them up.

You see... The left will make a random assertion, and then tell everyone to PROVE the allegation is not true, and the left leaning pundits fall asleep and no investigative reporting is done.
But when an aspersion is cast against dear leader, then they instantly become investigative reporters with no biased intentions, just pure investigative reporting...right Anderson, right?
So the 15 minute public see's only what they want them to see... Noooo they aren't doing that...
Prove that it isn't costing $200 million per day. Prove it.
