I am a supporter of Al Hodges...just in case anyone doubts that. LOL!
It is interesting to me, however, how we have allowed our focus to shift away from where we invested to something that is solely based in the courts. I am not suggesting anything derogatory towards any person and/or process....just noting an observation. Not saying there isn't merit or future reward either, I choose to believe the man.
I invested in CMKM, and I am very interested in the forthcoming announcement from them. They said it was coming so they obviously know what it entails. I submit, if negative there would be no reason to delay. But it hasn't been released yet, so its obviously date/event related or both. There appears to be some significant news if the BOD has experienced change, as has been rumored. Hopefully there is news beyond such that is promising or better. Who knows...maybe the merger into New Corp that they announced over a year ago has inched closer. Like I said...I'm interested.
Since this is where I invested, this is where my focus is at the moment. I trust Al to do his thing...he hasn't skipped a beat yet, nor needed my legal strategy advice. LOL!

regarding up-coming plans for the new CEO:
okay, so his early plans are to get some cash into the company through the sales of land parcels under the control of cmkx or through acquisitions by the court. cmkx also hopes to obtain judgements against unnamed people or corporations that will put cash in the company coffers. those two things could take anywhere from months to years to never. (hell, i've got some land parcels i've been trying to sell for years now! lol)
one of the things i found interesting in rereading this portion of the new CEO's message was his promise to hold a shareholders meeting once he gets enough cash. i don't see why that is important? i'd like to see one, but it strikes me as low on the priority list since most everything can be done without our approval. (what has been done with our approval in the last 8 years?!!)
why include TEST CORE SAMPLES under the long term goals? why not say we're having those core samples tested tomorrow?
cmkmalive, if we need to be legal or trade again before getting paid, like through a purchase of some of the claims based on the core samples test results, then it could be a month of sundays for that to occur. i wonder if the CEO has a plan to get cash back to shareholders sooner than that?
CEO PLANS:
Dec 12, 2011
SHORT-TERM PLANS
There is much work to be done. However, a quick look at the 2010 tax return will help you understand my most pressing priority. The company has assets, but no operating cash at the present time. We have significant liabilities that need to be paid soon. The task of converting real estate assets into cash is underway. I was in Clayton, Georgia on Friday, 12/9/11 interviewing agents to list and sell the land we own there. I hope to sell the land rapidly for enough cash to pay all current liabilities in full.
There are several parcels of land that can be acquired through judgments – it will take time to convert those to cash. We have many millions of dollars judgments in favor of CMKM against several individuals, but many, if not most of those judgments are uncollectable.
There are other potential sources of cash on the horizon, but to discuss them in this forum could compromise our position and ability to collect funds.
LONG TERM GOALS
The following list outlines goals I hope to accomplish over the next two or three years:
1. Test 1010 core samples. 2. Return CMKX stock to trading status. 3. Form “New Corp†to work or sell off 1010 claims, giving CMKM shareholders a pro-rata stake in the “New Corpâ€. 4. Ultimately, provide a good and well-deserved return on investment to all bona-fide CMKM shareholders.
These goals are realistic and attainable, but not guaranteed.

My question is why have you sat on the naked short evidence and not done a thing about it. You have not gone after the shorters, why not?

I believe that when he was first announced as CEO I said he was little more than a warm body for a chair.
I was sorry to miss his appearance in Mel's room the other day. I want to ask him what is the repayment schedule for employees, past and present who have been loaned money??
As documented in there last filing, i might also ask if he was a temporary CEO since he has not been registered with the great state of Texas

You just witnesses the back door escape the Shorters of Overstock took. Oh and the lack of any real support to do so. Apparently as long as we all believe in Hodges efforts there's no need for other litigation. I prefer to disagree.

I believe they will now refile in the proper court. I'm surprised gurus haven't come on to say it was "part of the overall plan" You know, to stretch things out until the proper time.

.. For the last five years:
West came on board because he needed a job.
Faulk came on board to promote TOGI and his book, which is #1 on the Least Seller List.
Frizzell came on board to rack up bills hoping to get paid through real estate sales and to promote TOGI.
And during this illustrious era, the claims have been left untouched, the core samples have gathered dust, and our "naked short on a silver platter" has tarnished.
Unfugginbelievable.

Most evil people, that I am aware of, want total control of the situation. As Mr. Steve Kirkpatrick said that there is a warehouse full of drilling samples. Why would they have continued to drill, and save the samples, at great expense, knowing that the samples were worthless? Could Mr. Steve Kirkpatrick be here to paint a bleak picture so as to give the shareholders reason to bow out early of the venture? Honestly venting thoughts! Marvin

It all adds up to me. Shareholders were played, BIG TIME. Played by "all of the above". All we have to show for our investment is rumors, which were nothing more than lies.
But we'll be rich Monday.

Like Brain Damage who stated he sold most of his shares, CDLIC stated he dumped his entire position, etc.
