Wingsbeneathme: Instructions for Saskatchewan Mineral Resources Atlas use. I will try to make this real easy here.
Saskatchewan's Mineral Resources page
www.ir.gov.sk.ca/Default.aspx?DN=3482,3385,2936,Documents
1. On the right hand side, in thee text there, you will see...........Geological Atlas of Saskatchewan............mentioned in regard to the purchase of the CD
A page might come up that asks you to ACCEPT, click on I ACCEPT
2. CLICK on...............Geological Atlas of Saskatchewan..........and you should get the viewer page with the Atlas
In a few seconds, the colorful map shows up.
3. In the upper left hand corner, you will see a little gray box with a little red box in its upper left hand corner. CLICK on that icon to get rid of that little screen in the upper left hand corner that shows a smaller atlas of the area. nice clean screen now
4. On the right hand side you will see where it says....................LAYERS......................... .....All Layers, below that, Precambrian Map Index, then Mine Locations, etc etc.
CLICK on the file folder of the 5th one down...........Crown Dispositions.......no NOT put a check in that box, just CLICK on the FILE FOLDER only to open it up.
5. After you click on the file folder, You will see Mineral Dispositions, Potash Dispositions, Alkali Dispositions etc. under Crown Dispositions.
Put a check mark in that little box next to MINERAL DISPOSITIONS.
6. Go to the upper left hand corner again where all those little icons are and you will see in the second line, a magnifying glass with a plus, +, sign in it. Click on it with the left side of mouse and drag that magnifying glass to the upper left hand corner of claims you want to view, release, there will now be a +.drag from upper left, to lower right. The bigger the area you square off the more claims you can view.
Okay, in a few seconds you will have just a pic of that area.
7. Go back to the right hand of that page where it shows MINERAL DISPOSITIONS where you originally were. Put your mouse under the words..............MINERAL DISPOSITIONS.................CLLICK on it once...................you will see new words under the map that say............................Mineral Dispositions is now the active layer.
8. Look once again on the icons on the left side. 4th row down is a black circle with an........i..............in it. Identify is what that is. CLICK ON that icon
Your mouse now will not have that little arrow, it will have a................+....................for you to use and you take that + to the areas you want to see.
Use your mouse and put it where you want to see who has the claim. CLICK on the left of the mouse, wait for a few seconds, and then at the bottom of that screen, you will see who owns that particular claim that you have your mouse on.
