Wolf,
That's good news.
Now let's hope that there's some 'on-topic' good news for all of us in the very near future.

3bid: Interesting enough perspectiver, on your part. However, I'm inclined to take both posts from Dennis at face value. The first one, mirrored his feelings at the time, which were unconstrained bue to Jack's influence (I certainly have been there...) The second, apologizes for the lack of self-control in the first, and seeks to explain his "perspective" in a non-offensive manner. As far as I'm concerned, that's end of story... and if the principles (Wolf and Particle) feel a need to continue it any further, it would be best done by phone, PM, are some other person-to-person manner. just my .02... Ed Yes, very sobering thoughts. The point I make is basic to how we value and process information from Al Hodges et al; and to what limits and beyond, analysis of each word can take us. Fortunately, Dennis ended needless speculation about his recent behavior, and his message now stands clear of distraction.
This leaves me wondering what to expect at the party. After all this, it will be no place for moderation, that's for certain. -3bid

3bid,
It seems you and I either think alike, or I'm missing something. Regardless, I like your position.
Wolf,
As always, I believe your resolve, approach and methodology are sound and I support and back you.
Ed,
You're (kind of) right in that this was a one-time thing. But, blaming it on alcohol? That was my X-wife's excuse. When I hit 70, I am sure I will be consumed with other things. However, you shed light on something here. Dennis Smith, who works at the Mountain, hits his 70th birthday and all he can think of is attacking Wolf? Maybe Al's office IS very commited and consumed at a level none of us can understand-let's hope and pray. So, with all the posts questioning Al (effectiveness, reality, whatever), not condemming, pushed Dennis to his breaking point. This is not unreasonable from an escalation of commitment standpoint. Not excusing the outburst, but I can understand that. Still, it was directed at Wolf and Wolf alone, where many of us back what he is doing. So, I feel proportionately responsible.
This is hard (SINGLE send me some balloons). The 12th is near. If it's meaningless, we know.
Mike
