From another board! I live in Vegas so I dropped off my paperwork in person today at the Fed building. I was in the elevator with a 'sharp dressed man', he was looking at my CMKM envelope and I asked him: "have you heard of this" and he said " oh ya". Then said to me "90% of restitution is never recovered" and we got off the elevator. As we walked off in different directions on floor 11 he said " make sure Veronica gets the envelope", and that was it. This is interesting, though I’ll admit the first thing that popped into my mind was the ZZ Top song and the opening of Duck Dynasty. This adventure sure seems like a back woods operation at times. If you happened upon Trutanich, then the comment would be all the more intriguing but I think whomever it was, he delivered a message that you’ve delivered again here: temper your expectations this isn’t going to be a massive payout. I personally don’t think the Transfer Online list plays a role here. There was never a mention of it by the DOJ. Though if there is more to come, there may be a reason they’ve continued to claim purpose to maintaining records for a dissolved company delisted more that fifteen years ago. Hope so, but... Seems likely delivering your info to Veronica and the mystery man’s encouragement to make sure she gets it, indicates you’ve nothing to worry about when it comes to making the VIS/VIN list, as long as you’ve come by your shares legitimately. Anyone who did not, surely wouldn’t be walking his proof into the DOJ personally. Thanks for sharing. |

Some will tell you no way, others will tell you this is it (all) and neither can supply verification for their theory...but it remains their conviction. You may recall the storyline has long been the Gov must go first, then the big money trust will be released. The counter storyline was there is no money, it was all a scam. Along comes the DOJ in recent months to say there actually is restitution to be paid, please fill out the victim form. (Available on their website) Either way the DOJ has not mentioned the transfer agent in any update, citing it’s okay to just be registered with them. It’s your call, but you’re not surrendering a cert to register as a victim for this criminal case the DOJ is processing. The DOJ has also said the Gov does not distribute any amount less than $25, so that’s the apparent baseline approved victims will get. Yet the DOJ is also saying victims filing claims will be vetted by the FBI, which seems to suggest (again, unsubstantiated theory) a concern that those considered unharmed and not eligible for some reason will try to gain what they’re not entitled to. That could be either individuals, groups or entities. Who knows? But...that also seems to infer, it’s more than $25. Or not...so we wait, but this appears to be the month. In other news, according to his DC, today is the day Urban “died.” |

While in hot pursuit of my certificate from TD Waterhouse. I remember the words of my broker, as we sat in his cubicle. He leaned over his desk and said I'm sure they're going settle with $0.01. My response, I chuckled and said I know it has to be a lot more than that. And to this day I have no idea. I trust the town hall gives us light on this subject. That’s very interesting, if what mentioned is true. So if they collected $100 million, the restitution fund would be $1 Billion, that’s $0.002/Share. |

I remember all of this...... I also remember there was a brief halt in trading and I can’t remember the timelines but when the share split happened and then they made the correction I believe a day or two later that there was an extra zero in that share split I was wondering maybe if they had them by the nads due to the short that that was the settlement agreement perhaps and Roger Glenn cleaned up the short by adding the extra zero with some sort of an agreement/nda? |

Guys' I haven't been here for years and decided to check in today. Do I need to contact DOJ or am I included since I registered with transfer online years ago? This is so d*mn confusing! Sorry if this has been addressed somewhere else!

I suggest reading this thread carefully. You should find enough info to make a decision. It is your call, no one can truly tell you what to do, though in CMKXnation there has never been a shortage of “expert” opinion. Suffice to say, the DOJ asked for the VIS five months ago. They’ve never indicated anything about being listed at a transfer agent as being enough. They’ve never mentioned a transfer agent at all. |

I have never been involved in any class action suit where someone didn't get my name from somewhere and request that I file a claim to participate. I have never received anything from the DOJ requesting info to participate. If it wasn't for these boards I would never know to file a claim. I can't believe that all the people involved and never use the boards anymore would just be left out. |

Well you've provided others a great service by at least verifying they're not accepting any more VIS forms. It's been 5 months, so we all knew the time would come when they stopped. They will post the Town Hall info on the DOJ site. Below is the link I check a few times a day.
