have never been involved in any class action suit where someone didn't get my name from somewhere and request that I file a claim to participate. I have never received anything from the DOJ requesting info to participate. If it wasn't for these boards I would never know to file a claim. I can't believe that all the people involved and never use the boards anymore would just be left out. Understood, Mike. I believe many agree with your thinking. However, if you read earlier in this thread you will see the post that copies the court data from several years ago when the DOJ requested permission to only update shareholders via the internet because many/most of the shareholders discovered and congregated in CMKX forums (such as this one) on the internet. It also cites the company's promise (at the time) to post updates on its website. The court did not deny the DOJ's request and that's why we see the ONLY notification to shareholders being done via the internet. I could be wrong--but this seems like the reason for what we have to work with. Not to mention the company dissolved and there is no company website any longer.  |

Perhaps scapa got a reply because he/she is from outside the USA, thus a unique request? I assume the town hall will provide the info everyone is seeking. My best bud sent his info in--I actually faxed it for him--40 pages worth of every single trade/purchase. He's not heard anything either and we did it within the week of the initial request. So there's no apparent rhyme or reason. I kindly submit the same thing I've said for years; this will not be figured out in advance regardless of guru and his/her sources. The newer DOJ info is just another facet. If they said everyone is only getting $25, most wouldn' care. If they said everyone was getting $10,000 their place would be flooded. They've given no indication other than to stick to the basics. So...we wait. It is frustrating, I'll give you that. But I'm reminded of SK calling me a fool for thinking there would ever be any money whatsoever. Here we are with the DOJ saying the opposite. Years later, but still. |

Hey Port, or anyone else.
I have tried both emails multiple times and get no response.
I also have CIM certificates, US Canadian Minerals inc certificates that were tied to CMKX.
I never could pull my four shares of noble technologies.
They still show in my account though.
Anyone have any idea on how to get this registered with the proper authorities ?
Or is this a selective justice system move, like most of America's justice system, only those on the in get theirs.

Anyone have any idea on how to get this registered with the proper authorities ? Perhaps someone else knows something--I do not. The last I heard (unsubstantiated, though logical) was that the reason we've waited so long was for the market to "pay for" those dividends but that the dividends themselves are worthless. The theory (and it is a theory only) was that the divis were used to get the Gov to pay their share of the fine for allowing the FTD to occur. Each time one was issued the Gov was on the hook to make it right. They didn't, so ultimately they had to cover those too. The theory goes on to suggest that ultimately it is all wrapped up into whatever we learn during the town hall. Now, that's a script for Hollywood just as much as any other...but one might consider it a logical conclusion. I see it. But I've long loosened the grip on this and surrendered myself to waiting to see what they do. Not easy, but it is what it is. |

Probably not and although it took forever, I hope it's a good thing.
May this town hall meeting provide us with the information that brings this to an end and not prolong the pain.

I'd like to know if there are any other DOJ cases that took as long as ours. The Ford Pinto settlement took 10 years I think. The tobacco settlement may have been longer still. Big money doesn't like to settle with we the little people. Thank God this is looking like some kind of closure. |
