John Lennon bought the Rosemary's Baby movie apartments @ Dakota Building
Here it is, this book confirms that John and Yoko Lennon bought and lived in the apartments in The Dakota building which were previously used as the set for the film Rosemary's Baby
(which was about a modern, wealthy, organized witch coven in NY) :

that link above also reveals that Lennon and his wife were deeply immersed into the occult
themselves.
John and Yoko Lennon bought the Rosemary's Baby apartments in The Dakota (previously owned by tough guy/war film star Robert Ryan), after the death of Robert Ryan in 1973.
Actor Robert Ryan's apartments were used as the set for Rosemary's Baby because Ryan was a friend of the actor (John Cassavetes) who had played Rosemary's husband in the film.
Robert Ryan had been in 'The Dirty Dozen' with John Cassavetes just the year before (1967)
[also of note to this subject of organized satanism, Cassavetes had been helping build the Hells Angels mythos the same year , starring in the film 'Devils Angels' (1967)]
Notable related trivia tidbits:
Robert Ryan starred with Henry Fonda in 'Battle of the Bulge' (1965) and Henry Fonda once owned the same Cielo Drive home in Laurel Canyon which Sharon Tate's fake murder was staged.
Henry Fonda's son Peter Fonda was also in biker flicks, he was in The Wild Angels (1966) and Easy Rider (1969)
